Abbey Brook Hunter

Abbey Brook Hunter, Born August 31,1984 to Bonnie Hunter Gillenwater. Died on March 4, 2024 after a long battle with addiction at her residence in Lincoln County, WV.
 

She has one daughter, Adrianna Fayeth Mitchell.
 

She was saved and baptized as a youth at Lick Creek Community Church; Pastor Billy Nelson. She hung onto God's word as she struggled with the addiction that was pulling her down.
 

She was a crazy, fun-loving and very blunt person. She had a host of friends who loved her, as well as many family who love her. 

Her daughter, Adrianna, age 13 , is here to remember her. Adrianna's father, Joshua Andrew Mitchell passed on January 16, 2020. 

Abbey's step-father was Bill Joe Gillenwater who preceded her in death on April 8, 2018. Her biological father was Mark Alan Vickers and she has a step-brother Brandon Vickers.
 

Left here on earth to remember her sassiness is her mother, Bonnie Hunter Gillenwater; her maternal grandmother, Brookie (Toler) Hunter; many aunts and uncles, cousins, and a host of Toler relatives and a host of Hunter relatives. Too many to list!
 

Abbey was a wonderful daughter and a great friend to all who knew her.  She would tell you like it was, whether you liked it or not. She would be the first to stand up and fight if you messed with one of her friends or family. She will be missed dearly.
 

She graduated from Scott High School and attended SWVCTC.

Service will be 2 pm Sunday, March 10 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Rev. Ray Barker officiating.  Burial will follow in Family Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV.

Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
