Alga Dolin, “Grandmother”, 89, of Madison went to be with the Lord at 2:18 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016.
She was born January 14, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Vivian Roush of Madison. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Woodrow Dolin and daughter Vivian Price.
Alga is survived by daughter, Scherri and Arthur Napier; son, Woodrow “Woody” Dolin II and Carolyn; ten grandchildren, Doug, Cynthia, Monica, Chad, Mark, Scherri Ann, Josh, Nikki, Forest, and Robert; 19 great-grandchildren, Kirk, John, Christina, Nick, Kris, Kristen, Matthew, Drew, Gage, Chase, Ally, Makinley, Kierstn, Kaiden, Sheradon, Jarott, Tia and Zeke; five great-great-grandchildren, Vivian, Mia, Madison, Kaylee and Chance.
Alga was a 1945 graduate of Scott High School, an employee of the FBI in Washington DC, an avid volunteer in the church, schools and community in Boone County. A true Jack of all trades, including seamstress, wedding cake designer and baker, a chef, master gardener, artist, fisherman, anything she read she could master. Most importantly she was Grandmother to all.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. and service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 29 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Donald Kerns officiating. Burial will follow at Dolin Cemetery, Foster.
