Allan Ray Vaught, 57, of Danville passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Clifton and Ina Grace Vaught; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Mae Vaught; and his father-in-law, Hassel Berry.
He was born March 4, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. He lived in Boone County for the past 40 years. He was a retired/disabled coal miner from Peabody Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, loved baseball and cars.
He is survived by his wife, Claire Vaught; son, Nigel Vaught of Charleston; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Chase Hill and grandchild, Kylee Sosebee all of Danville; brothers, John (Karen) Vaught of Georgia and Terry (Cynthia) Vaught of Ohio; mother-in-law, Susan Berry; and his brother-in-law, Larry Berry.
Allan was an animal lover and leaves behind his three dogs and three rescued cats.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Richard Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
