Allen Lee Savva

August 13, 1964 — February 22, 2016

Allen Lee Savva, 51, of Madison, WV passed away February 22, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jo Ball and Andy Y. Savva; brothers, Johnny and Micheal Savva; sister, Susie Savva; uncles, Arthur Rhodes and Troy Green; aunts, Monie Rhodes and Sandra Green; and grandparents, Cyrus and Florence Ball.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 17 years Toni Savva; his sister, Marie Savva; uncle, Jerry (Vivian) Ball; aunt, Janie Griffiths; and sister in law Patty Savva. Also leaves behind a number of cousins and a nephew.
Allen was a devoted Christian, husband, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.
He loved Jesus. He would always say when he would testify one more thing and then I’ll shut up and he would say I’m Greek I like to talk, and then he would say Praise the Lord. When he was sick he would always have a smile no matter how bad he felt and would sing because that’s where his strength would lie.
He was always a people person he never met a stranger, and if he had something and said that you liked it he would give it to you. He loved kids if he saw one crying or a birthday he would give them money.
He had a friendly contagious personality and loved devoting his time before he got sick to the nursing home, he was the bingo man. He would always act crazy and call the numbers out wrong and the residents would laugh and say you are silly.
He is going to be missed by so many people. He was very well known, I don’t think he ever met a stranger.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Paul Little and John Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park. Pallbearers Ritchie Schultz, Roger Runyon, Randy Rhodes, Rodney Butcher, Johnathon Tomblin, and Mike Elliott.
