Almeda Collins, 62, of Mud River Road, Danville got her wings and went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 18, 2014 after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Collins; her dad, Elmer Bishop; and her brother, Dale Bishop.
Almeda was a member of The Fountain of Life Worship Center, Rock Creek Road.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are, mother, Pauline Bishop of Danville; two sons, Terry and Sabrina Collins of Alkol and Rocky and Vanessa Collins of Danville; eight grandkids, Shawna, Tierra, Tori and Cody Collins of Alkol, Jeremiah, Abigail, Alex and Abby of Danville; three sisters, Linda (Steve) Michonski, Judy (Dennis) Stowers and Paula (Mark) Perry; two brothers, Jr. (Linda) Bishop and Dennis Bishop; and many more family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family would like to thank everyone.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Stevie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Park, Turtle Creek. Immediately after burial, Fountain of Life Worship Center at Rock Creek is hosting a dinner in memory of Almeda.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
