Andree’ Odette Dotson, 90, of Madison passed away November 27, 2014 at Broadmore Senior Living in Teays Valley, WV.
She was born Nov. 14, 1924, a native of Remelfling France, where she met her husband Walter during World War II. She came to America in 1948 where she lived until her death. She loved West Virginia, always said the hills and mountains reminded her of her home in France. She didn’t speak English on her arrival to America, but learned very quickly. She went to Morris Harvey College where she made the Dean’s List. She loved her church St. Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Madison and all the people. It was a second home for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Walter who passed in 1991; daughter, Tina Marie; parents, Mary and Willy Houver; and her only brother, Paul of France.
She is survived by son, Jack (Wanda) of Hinton, WV; daughter Michele (Roger White) of Buffalo, WV; grandchildren, Steve, Yvette, Ara, Jessica, Eric and Ilene; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alexis, Makenzie, Bekah, Colby and Lucas.
A service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at St. Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Madison with Father Neil Buchlein officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
