Arnold Edward Cook

Arnold Edward Cook, 67, of Williams Mountain, WV formerly of Letter Gap was born November 8, 1945 and passed away October 22, 2013,

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Cook; parents, Hinton and Verna Cook; brother, Delmer “Dude” Cook; and sister, Iona “Tena” Smith.

He is survived by his brother, Harold Cook of Bob White; sisters, Janet Dillon of Bob White and Betty Sanders of Elgin, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

Arnold was a former coal miner at Eastern #4 and was a member of UMWA. He retired from the US Postal Mail Carrier in Gilmer County. He loved large get-togethers with laughter and lots of food and friends. He also loved hunting season. He was a Christian man and made many friends through life. He loved to talk.

Arnold you are forever in our hearts. We love you.

Much appreciation to the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Handley funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Charles Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Green Cemetery, Bim.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
