Arvin Clifford Baker, 84, of Branchland, WV died Wednesday December 23, 2015 at his residence after a long battle with cancer.
He was born July 16, 1931 and lifelong resident of Lincoln County. He was preceded in death by his parents Walton and Stella Watts Baker; brothers, Eugene Baker, Jennings Baker, Homer Baker, Dencil Baker, Argie Baker, Arnold Baker; and a sister, Goldie Smithson. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Scites of West Hamlin; sisters, Mary Beckelheimer (Don), Eula Szajkovics (Alex) of St. Petersburg, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a lot of good friends whom he enjoyed riding four wheelers with.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday December 26, 2015 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will be in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV where a graveside military service will be conducted.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Saturday at the funeral home.
