Arvis was a retired coal miner and a faithful servant of the Lord and member of Coal Valley Freewill Baptist Church at Clothier for over 30 years.
Arvis was a most humble man with a truly kind heart. He loved the Lord and could always be found doing his father’s business. He always had a smile and encouraging words for everyone he met. Arvis never let the fact that he had only one arm hinder him in any way. He worked hard his entire life using what God had given him and never questioned why. Arvis was heard many times in his testimony saying that he would wave two good arms in praise when he meets Jesus face to face. On Tuesday afternoon, that is just what he did.
