Barbara Sue Mullins

 Barbara Sue Mullins, of Morrisvale, WV, peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on September 29, 2024. Born December 18, 1943, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

 Barbara enjoyed gardening and canning with her husband. She enjoyed her flower garden and watching the hummingbirds. Most of all, she enjoyed swinging on her porch with her granddaughter, listening to the whippoorwills. Barbara loved singing and creating stories for her great-grandson.

 Barbara dedicated her life to serving the Lord and spreading His word. She preached with passion and conviction for many years, touching the lives of others. Barbara was a loving caregiver for many years. She took pride in her family and cherished her 61 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Jerry; her three children, Thomas Mullins of Clarksburg, WV, Steven Mullins of Morrisvale, WV, and Kimberly Sexton (Sabin) of Morrisvale, W that brought her immense joy. Barbara was also blessed with a granddaughter, Sarah Lawrence (Christopher), and her great-grandson, Christian Lawrence, all of Clarksburg, WV.

 Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Helen Elkins; brothers William Elkins and Stevie Elkins; and two nieces, Stephanie Facemire and Jessica Baxter.

 She is survived by her brother, Larry Elkins (Mary Ann); and sister-in-law, Helen Elkins.

 Barbara impacted the lives of many with her warming and welcoming nature. She knew no stranger. Her proudest accomplishment was her family. Her love and care she gave will always be cherished. Mom will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her love she shared with her family and the kindness she showed to all.

 Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Gary Toler officiating. Interment will follow at Price Cemetery Danville, WV. 

 Visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
