Barry Wayne Halstead

Barry Wayne Halstead, 74, of Chapmanville, WV passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at CAMC Hospice, Charleston, WV.

He was born August 22, 1949, a son of the late Malcomb and Betty Walker Halstead.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Reed Halstead.

He is survived by his son, Michael Halstead of Madison, WV; fiancée, Shirley Hill; grandchildren, Nathan Halstead, Anthony Halstead, Jordan Halstead and Isiah Halstead; and brothers, Malcomb (Mickey) Halstead of Foster, WV and Francis Halstead of Foster, WV.

Barry was a retired butcher from Kroger.  He was a retired member of WV Air National Guard and also served in the US Air Force.

Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Lewis Shepherd officiating.  Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park on Indian Grave Road, Danville, WV with Military Graveside Rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, WV.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
