Bethel “Choke” Cook, 86, of Madison, WV passed away January 9, 2014 at home after a long illness.
He was born August 5, 1927 and was a son of the late Homer and Eveline (White) Cook. He was also preceded in death by five sisters, three brothers, and one granddaughter.
He was a disabled coal miner and a member of UMWA. He was a member of Gospel Center Tabernacle, West Madison.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Novillis (Miller) Cook; daughter, Dreama & Jack Miller of Madison; sons, Lawrence & Carla of Florida, Terry and Angie of Charleston and Shawn of Danville; twelve grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Walter Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
