Betty June Bowles, 79, of Peytona, WV passed away May 26, 2015 at her home.
She was born August 17, 1935 at Fosterville, WV and was a daughter of the late James and Goldie Peters Totten. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jim, Bill, Gene and Floyd Totten.
She is survived by her husband, Bill whom she married February 18, 1956; her daughter, Diane June Bowles of Peytona; two sons, Jeff (Kathy) Bowles of Ripley and Greg (Kara) Bowles of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Grant, Grace, Adam, Alan and Ashley; two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Canin; one brother, Daniel Totten of Virginia Beach, VA; and one sister, Janice Jackson of Prenter.
Betty retired from secretarial work at the Federal Building in Washington, DC and Charleston, WV. She was a member of Eastern Star and Racine Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and bird watching.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Racine Baptist Church, Racine with the Rev. Anthony Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
