Betty Elizabeth Halstead, age 88, of Foster passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
She was born November 19, 1930 in Ameagle, WV to the late Clyde and Arvilli Henley Walker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Halstead Jr.; and son, Kevin Reed Halstead.
Betty is survived by three sons, Barry Wayne Halsted, Malcolm William Halstead, and Francis Craig Halstead (wife Edna). Betty was blessed with eight grandchildren, Michael Halstead, Cullen Halstead, Kevin Halstead, Dana Weekly, Melissa Cook, Sarah Halstead, Angie Baisden, and Christa Overstreet; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Betty was a Christian and a member of the Foster Church of Christ. She was a homemaker.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Foster Church of Christ with Wendell Hill and Nathaniel Dolin officiating. Burial will follow in Halstead/Cabell Cemetery, Foster.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Handley Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family.
