Billie Eugene Griffith

Billie Eugene Griffith (Bill), 93, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at home.

He was born on February 19, 1932, and preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Etta Griffith; his siblings, Paul Griffith and Carnie Griffith, as well as his wife Bertha “Dot” Griffith. 

He was a proud veteran and member of the UMWA for 38 1/2 years. He is survived by his only son, Jerry Griffith (Sharon); his grandchildren, April Workman (David) and Billy Griffith (Heather). He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Hunter Hill (Lexi); Logan Griffith (Alex); Caden, Carson, and Rylee Griffith; Skyler Workman (Quinn); and Caleb Strickland. He is also survived by his only great great grandchild, Ella Lynn Hill, who was born on November 26, 2024. 

Services will be held at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, West Virginia, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Memory Gardens where he will be laid to rest by his wife, Bertha Griffith.
