Rev. Billy B. Pollard, 89, of Madison, WV went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2013.
He was a retired minister from the Church of the Nazarene. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was a Merchant Marine in World War II fighting for our country.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara and step-son, Bart Nelson. He is also survived by daughter, Jeannie Herman and three grandchildren of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by step-son Bruce Nelson, Jr.
Billy enjoyed life fully with his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Minister Phil Rowe officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
