Bobby Clay, 82, of Madison WV died October 15, 2014 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.
He was born November 11, 1931 and was a son of the late Frank and Edith Clay. He was also preceded in death by brothers, George, Harold, Darrell, Ralph, Ted, Karol and Tommy; sisters, Gladys Meadows and Willadean Clay; and grandson, Tyler Edward Hager.
He was a retired employee from the City of Madison. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Cox’s Fork Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jearldean Clay; daughter, Rema (Timmy) Hager; sons, Robert (Kelly) Clay, Obed (Lisa) Clay and Joey Clay; granddaughter, Brittany Clay; sister, Opal Parkes and Eula Jean (Judy) Barker; brother, Corvan Clay; six grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and one dog, Peppy.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Madison Funeral Home with the Rev. Harley Egnor and Robbie Gollihue officiating. David and Angela Cook will be singing. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
