Boyd Adkins, 85, of Branchland, WV died Sunday December 27, 2015. He was born April 9, 1930 in Allen, WV, a son of the late Adam and Lula Paris Adkins. He was also preceded in death by sons, Boyd Allen Adkins and Larry Dale Adkins.
He is survived by his wife Polly Adkins; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Crissy Adkins; daughter, Rhonda Pittman; grandchildren, Joshua Adkins, Justin Wyatt and Johnathan Pittman; great grandchildren, Lucas Wyatt and Madison Wyatt. The family would like to send a special thank you to Bob and Della Burns, Hazel and Coy Adkins, Juanita "Blonde" Adkins and the nursing staff at St. Mary's Medical Center.
There will be a visitation from 11:00am to 12:00pm Thursday December 31, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV. A graveside service will follow at the Adkins Cemetery, Big Ugly, WV.
