Brenda Jean Ball

Brenda Jean Ball, 65, of Danville, WV passed away unexpectedly at home June 28, 2024.

Brenda is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Chuckie) Heater of Greenview, WV, Lindsay (Mikey) Brown of Turtle Creek, WV, Johnna (Chris) Ball of Secoal, WV and Savanna (Cara) Ball of Huntington, WV; brothers, Douglas (Patricia) Workman of Mims, Fl, Gordon (Jodi) Workman of Chapmanville, WV, and Dane Garrett of Chapmanville, WV; grandchildren, Daniel Aldridge, Brianna (Walter) Wilson, Shawn Heater, Nevaeh Baldwin, Jayden Brown, Maverick Brown, Zane Heater, Jaxon Brown, Connor Aldridge, Zander Aldridge and a bonus granddaughter Sabrina Osborne; great-grandchildren, Aubrie Dillon, Skylar Wilson, Derick Heater Addilynn Heater, and Walter Wilson IV; and many loving nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother Juanita (Sissy) Garrett, father Douglas Workman, “Dad” Darrell (Herbie) Garrett, her loving husband of 38 years, Johnny Lynn Ball, step-daughter Rhonda (Boonie) Aldridge, granddaughter Cassie Aldridge and grandson Adrian Heater. 

Brenda was a ‘77 graduate of Chapmanville High School and a Tiger, through and through. In her younger years you’d always find her on the sidelines cheering on the Black & Orange. 

Brenda was also a loving mother, wife, momaw and a friend to all. Brenda loved being a stay-at-home mom to not only her girls but all the neighborhood kids as well. She had the kindest heart & sweetest soul. When she loved, she loved big. The memories she left behind will be cherished forever.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Pastor Stacy Dingess officiating. Family will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. prior to the visitation. Visitation for the public will begin at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

 As per her request, she will be cremated and later laid to rest beside her loving husband in B&B Cemetery, Turtle Creek, WV.
