Brian Lee McKee, 50, of Branchland, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital after an extended illness.
Brian was an avid Ohio State fan and was the type of friend who would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He was known for being very loving and kind. He was a devout Christian and loved Jesus.
He was born March 27, 1968 and was the son of the late Francis Arthur and Erma Lee McKee (Sheets) of Ironton, OH. He was employed at AT&T/Direct TV and was a member of West Hamlin Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William Arthur McKee and Betty Riffe; and maternal grandparents, Vesta Rice and Stanley Sheets.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Michelle Parsons McKee of Branchland, W.Va.; his son, Anthony Michael Parsons of Branchland WV; William Taylor Moore, of Chester, South Carolina who he thought of as a son; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Michael and Barbara Parsons of Branchland, W.Va. He is also survived by four siblings, Thomas A. McKee of South Point, OH, Richard Stanley (Peggy) McKee of Willow Wood, OH, Kathy (John) Minard of Ironton, OH and Michael (Mariko) McKee of Kuki, Japan; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at McGhee-Handley-Funeral Home in West Hamlin, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at West Hamlin United Methodist Church in West Hamlin, W.Va., with Rev. Thomas Jeffery officiating. Interment will follow at Roma & Dot Cemetery in Branchland, W.Va.
