Brookie EmmaLou Marcum Burgess, 77, of Danville, WV passed away March 31, 2020 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by Nathan Marcum and Bea Marcum, son Kennith Burgess, mother Loucinda Marcum, husband Ray Eugene Burgess, sister, Audray Marcum.
She was a homemaker. She believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, loved to attend and sing at church. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids. Had a heart of gold and loved her late husband very much. She loved and enjoyed her life and everyone that had ever been a part of it.
She is survived by children; Phillip Burgess of South Charleston, Johnny Burgess of Danville, and Ricky Allen Burgess Sr of Madison, Melissa Burgess of Danville, brothers, Kelly Adkins of Jackson County and Cleve Marcum of Greenview, grandchildren, Chris Burgess, Ricky Burgess Jr, Sean, Cody,and Caleb, Mark Angla Burgess, Nicole Brown and Aaron Estep and 8 great grandchildren, Landon, Trinity, McKenna, Brooklyn, Patrick, Lacy Nautica, and KayKay.
A Private family service is 2 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2020 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Jessie Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in Burgess Marcum Cemetery, Greenview.
