Burdena Emily Mullins Coakley, 84 of Madison, Boone County passed away March 28, 2015 at her son’s home in Tuscaloosa, AL.
She was born November 25, 1930 and was a daughter of the late John and Lottie Mullins of Webster Springs, WV. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Clyde Coakley; son, Samuel Eldridge Coakley; brother, John Mullins, Jr. and sister Mildred Nichols.
She is survived by sisters; Karen Carpenter and Willojean Waybright, son; Mike Coakley, his wife Dianne Coakley, daughter in law; Gail Coakley, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, Bible Baptist Church, Danville with Pastor Johnny Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association and the MS Society.
