Carl Junior Thompson 87 of Griffithsville WV passed away Jan. 9, 2019 at CAMC, Charleston, WV.
He was a retired coal miner, and a member of the UMWA. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mascel Faye, son; Timothy Thompson, grandson; Leroy Halstead, and his parents; Stacy and Beatrice Booth Thompson.
He is survived by his daughters; Alice Carle Thompson Halstead, Juanita Japzyck, grandsons; Mark Halstead, Joe Japzyck, and John Japzyck, brother; Glennis Thompson and a host of family.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Brian Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in Berkley Hill Cemetery, Meadow Fork.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
