Carlton Roy "Cotton" Hazelett

Carlton Roy “Cotton” Hazelett, 60, died Monday, August 14, 2017.
He was born on March 18, 1957 in West Hamlin. He was a son to the late Eula “Bea” Smith and Lambert “Pop” Davis and Carl and Iona Hazelett. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Linford Lynn “Buddy Boy” Hazelett and significant other Kathy “Lucky” Allgeir.
Carlton was a roofer and carpenter. He immensely enjoyed riding four-wheelers with his many friends, and family who he loved deeply. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children: daughters, Jennifer Carlyn Hazelett, Jessica Lynn Hazelett and son, Carlton Roy “Cody” Hazelett Il; seven brothers, Lonzo Hazelett (Debra), Chalmer Hazelett (Patricia), Larry Hazelett, Gary Hazelett (Virginia), Michael John Hazelett (Donna), Don Hazelett (Elizabeth) and Ray Hazelett and sister-in-law, Rosemary, wife of the late Linford Lynn “Buddy Boy” Hazelett; as well as his 30 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin. Burial will follow in Sanders Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
