Carson Jack Roark 82 of Grandy, NC passed away Nov. 19, 2016 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison WV.
He was born on Kayford Mountain at Cabin Creek to Hamilton Roark and Garnett (Stanley) Roark.
He was a retired coal miner and proudly served in the Marine Corp and Navy veteran of Korean War. He was preceded in death by wife Nancy (Onzil) Roark and daughter Cheryl Roark.
He is survived by son David (Leanora) Roark of Grandy, NC and daughter Linda (Norman) Brown of Ottawa, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Rev. Paul Little officiating. Burial will follow in Twifford Cemetery, Grandy, NC.
Visitation will be at 10:30 Tuesday before service.
