Catherine Lee Jarrell Sutphin

Catherine Jarrell Sutphin, 95, of Van departed this life Nov. 27, 2015. She was born April 20, 1920 in Lewisburg, WV to Eschol and Bessie Roach Taylor. She was preceded in death by two husbands and three children.
She leaves behind five children, Carl of Gordon, Ed and Wilma Jarrell of Hurricane, Jane White of South Carolina, Pam and Charlie Brown of Kettering, Ohio and Sue of Medway, Ohio; one stepson, Ronnie and Pam Sutphin of Uneeda; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Boone Memorial Hospital and Hubbard Hospice West for the loving care they have showed our mother.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Tom Price officiating. Burial will follow in Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
