Cecil Lee Doss

Cecil Lee Doss I, 87, of Comfort, WV passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at home.

He was born April 21, 1937 and was a son of the late Frank T. Doss and Ruby K. Martin. He was also preceded in death by his son Jeffrey L. Doss; sister Betty J. Smith; brothers Billy Doss and Arnold J. Doss; son -in-law Rev. Russell O. Thompson; and special companion Ellen Thompson.

He is survived by his children, Cecil L. Doss II (Beck) of Low Gap, Jimmy L. Doss (Heidi) of Coal Valley, Debra D. Thompson of Greenview, and Robert B. Doss of Davenport, FL; sister Bernice White; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter on the way; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Roger Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 17 at the funeral home.
