Charles William Bayes, 83, of Julian, WV passed away April 8, 2021 after a long battle of health problems.
He was born June 4, 1937 in Scott Depot, a son of the late Henry Arthur Bayes and Liza Jane Racer Bayes. He is the last of five brothers and two sisters.
He worked several years for Hammond Glass Company at Scott Depot, WV; a few years for the Department of Highway, Rock Creek, WV; and the City of Madison, Madison, WV.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deloris Ann Harless Bayes; daughter, Nora Jane Bayes of Madison, WV; son, Alpha Charles Bayes of Julian, WV; granddaughters, Amber Nichole Bayes of Kennard, IN and Lydia Dawn Bayes of Hewett’s Creek, WV.
Service will be 11:00AM, Monday, April 12, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Rev. Steve Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery, Sod, WV.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, CDC guidelines will be observed, with mask and social distancing encouraged.
