Charles "Mushy" Bella

Charles “Mushy” Bella Jr., 85, of Danville died August 12, 2014 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.
He was born October 10, 1928 in Monclo, WV to Charles and Elizabeth Barto Bella.
Surviving is his wife Eileen Gay whom he married on April 30, 1949, together they had five children, David (the late Maxine) Bella of Danville, C.B. (Retha) Bella of Blair, Becky (Bob) Payne of Racine, Ohio, Beverly (the late Reed) Stowers and Kathy (Scott) Stapleton both of Salisbury, MO; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bella was a retired coal miner and proprietor of the Sharples Supermarket until his retirement. He was a member of Monclo-Sharples Church of God and a member of UMWA.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the Monclo-Sharples Church of God.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Danny Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Family Gardens, Madison.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
