Charles Eugene Clark

Charles Eugene Clark, 85, of Hurricane, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at Lincoln Healthcare in Hamlin WV.

Charles was a lifelong member of the church of Christ. He served as a deacon at the Hamlin church of Christ and an elder at the Middletown church of Christ in Louisville, KY. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Charles was a 1957 graduate of Hamlin High School where he met his wife, Dorothy. They were married 63 years

Charles served his country in the Army Reserve for several years. He worked at the Lincoln National Bank in Hamlin prior to becoming Manager of the Huntington VA Federal Credit Union. He was also a past president of the WV Credit Union League. After leaving the Credit Union he worked as a Finance Manager at Joe Holland Chevrolet in Charleston and Bachman Auto Group in Louisville, KY. He was a member of Hamlin Masonic Lodge 79.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Julia Clark, his beloved wife Dorothy Reynolds Clark, brothers Raymond Clark and Dennis Clark, and sister Yvonne Villars. He leaves behind his daughters Cheryl Paul (Eddie), Angela Stewart (Mark), grandchildren Andy Paul (Tracey), Rebekah Bledsoe (Coty), great-granddaughters Rhea Bledsoe, Harper Paul, Charlie Paul, and Isla Bledsoe, sister Reba Brown, sister-in-law Karen Clark, brother-in-law Berk Villars and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lincoln Healthcare for their excellent care and attention to Charles for the past year and half.

The funeral will take place at 1:00 pm Wednesday December 11, 2024, at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin WV with Jack Gilchrist officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am prior to the funeral. The burial will follow in Fairview Memory Gardens Hamlin, WV.
