Charles William "Pee Wee" Lester Sr.

Charles William “Pee Wee” Lester Sr., 87, of Hewett departed this life Sunday, July 5, 2015 with his wife, family and friends around him.
He was born August 4, 1927 at Isom, son of the late Dennie and Allie Nelson Lester. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Ann Lester; one granddaughter, Amy Michelle Ball; brothers, Thurman, Sherman, Woody, “Happy” Dennie and Dillard; and sisters, Virginia and Pickford.
He was a retired bus driver for Boone County and a retired coal truck driver for Ferrell’s Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Madeline Ball Lester; children, Charles W. “Andy” Lester Jr. (Myrtle), Martha Rose “Sue” Ball (Sherman), Connie Faye Dolin (Nathanael), Donna Marie Aleshire (David) and Christopher Wayne Lester Sr. (April); grandchildren, Crystal Vance (Daniel), Mikey Aleshire (Jess), Brandi Smith, Katie Dolin, Kendall Hughart (Eric), Christopher II and Samuel Lester; great-grandchildren, Maranda Hapney (Ben), Lillie Ball, Avery and Kennedy Vance; great-great-grandchild, Kinsley; sisters, Hazel Nichols and Dellie Wallen.
Special thanks to caregiver, Darlene Deel and Hospice nurse, Sallie Starkey.
Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9 at Meadow Fork Freewill Baptist Church, Hewett with Stanley Stevenson, Mike Stevenson and Nathanael Dolin officiating. Burial will follow in Ball Cemetery, Hewett.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
