Charlotte Virginia Hager Elkins

Charlotte Virginia Hager Elkins 93 of Hewett went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 after an extended illness.
She was a member of Meadow Fork Church for many years. She was born Sept 6, 1923 at Jeffrey and was the daughter of the late Kin and Margie Harless Hager.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arland Elkins; son, Charles; daughter and son in law Janet and Vernon Booth and great grandson JR Rea and sisters, Estie, Hazel, Susie and Eilene; brothers, Ray, Carmal and Sydney Hager.
She is survived by her children, Robert and Glendyne Elkins of Jeffrey, Eddie and Angie Elkins of Hewett and Georgia and Dennis Dent of Hewett; sister, Jean Meadows; and brother, Roy Hager; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her caregiver Pauline Bell and Hospice Care.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 Meadow Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Frank Ball and Rev. Rocky Chafin officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson Ball Cemetery, Hewett.
Friends may call at the church Monday 6 to 11 p.m.
Arrangements are by the Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV.
