Charlotte Louise Isner

Charlotte Louise Isner 94 of Madison, WV passed away Oct. 22, 2014 CAMC Teays Valley. She was born October 25, 1919 in Beckley, WV.

While she was able, Louise was active in her church and civic activities, including the Woman’s Club of Madison, the Madison Chapter of O.E.S., and AARP. She enjoyed cooking and listening to music, and most of all, visiting with everyone she met. It was her passion in life to get to know everyone she could and to make each person’s life a little happier.

She was a member of Madison United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Arthur and Vertie Cottrill, also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Robert Isner and her brother Arthur “Jiggs” Cottrill.

She is survived by daughters; Karen (Fred) Bragg of Lynch Station, VA, Ellen (Kevin) Spradling of South Charleston and Donna (Gary) Barton of Madison, son; Robert A. (Kathryn J.) Isner, II of Andrew, WV, grandchildren; Frank Bragg of Atlanta, GA, Doug Bragg of Columbus, OH, Jennifer Bragg of Greensboro, NC, Wade Miller of Elkview, Melanie Miller Bias of Parkersburg, Chad Dunlap of Rochester, NH, Lara Berry of Charleston, WV, great grandchildren; Brett Miller, Carly Bragg, Ava Berry, Thomas Dunlap, Matthew Dunlap, Emily Dunlap, Jennifer Dunlap and Colton Bias. Other family members include Heather Barton Sturgeon (Colan) and family of LeSage, WV, Lezlie Barton of Huntington, Autumn Barton Johnson and daughter Brooklyn of Barboursville, and dear friend Maxine McKinney of Apopka, FL.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, Madison United Methodist Church, Madison, WV with Rev. Rick Swearengin and Rev. Tom Bias officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Madison United Methodist Church or the VFW Christmas Fund Daniel Boone Post #5578, Madison, WV.

Friends may call after 11:30 a.m. at the church. Eastern Star service will be held during the visitation, Madison Chapter #121. Arrangements are by the Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
