Cheryl Darlene Phillips

Cheryl Darlene Phillips, 77, of Lake, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
Cheryl was married to the love of her life Gene Phillips for 45 years until his passing. They were parents of three children: Angie Mynes of Lake, Rob (Connie) Phillips of Spars Creek, and Kim (Billy) McKinney of Six Mile.
Cheryl was a devoted granny to her six grandchildren; Shenna, Barry (Hanna), Logan, Brooke, Landyn, and Laif and her special nephew, Camron Stover, in addition she was blessed with three great grandchildren; Sophia, Savanna, and Scarlett.
She shared her faith in the Lord with her family and friends and was a devoted member of Ball Chapel Church, Jeffery, WV for 38 years. She enjoyed sharing the Lord with everyone through her words and actions. She was always ready to help everyone.
She was an employee in the Blacks Foodland Deli until retirement. Cheryl will be remembered for her many church, community, and youth volunteering activities throughout her life, including her many years with the Washington Redskins Football Program of Ramage, WV.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gene, her mother Earsie Cook Mullins, a very special friend Maudie Lane, her son-in-law Barry Mynes, and a host of others.
Along with her children and grandchildren, she leaves behind her sisters: Margo (Roger) Blake of Salt Rock and Billy Tate Stover of Williamstown, WV, her beloved pet Chewy, nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
She lived her life for the Lord and her family. A true example of love for all that knew her.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with her grandson Barry Mynes, officiating. Burial will follow in the Boone Memorial Park, Madison, WV.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robert Phillips, Billy McKinney, Logan Phillips, Laif McKinney, Barry Mynes, and Camron Stover.
