Chester Williams, 76, of Iva, SC formerly of Blair, WV passed away at home September 4, 2014.
He was a retired coal miner and was a minister for 54 years with the Pentecostal church. He was preceded in death by children, Billy Wooten and Sharon Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Williams; daughters, Debbie Mitchell, Marilyn Baisden, Kay Williams, Mary McCoy, Sarah Rowe, Jessica Aldridge and Amanda Weekly; sons, Paul Williams, Isaac Williams, Chester Mitchell and Joe Weekly; a brother, Cecil Williams; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday September 8, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Pastors Douglas Saddler and David Sperry officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison with military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post #5578 of Madison, West Virginia.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
