Christa Dawn (Ball) Bias

Christa Dawn (Ball) Bias ended her fight with cancer on March 3, 2018, at the age of 63. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Rex, along with their children, Jennifer (Deric) and Christopher (Shawntel), and two special granddaughters, Neva and Cady. Her memory will also be treasured by her brother, Jack Brent (Becky) Ball and by her many nephews, nieces, extended family, and special friends. Christa was predeceased by her parents Jack & Virginia “Jenny” (Craddock) Ball and sister Mary Beth (Ball) Lightner.

A native of Monclo, Christa graduated salutatorian of the class of 1972 from Sharples High School. She and Rex married and made their home in Seng Camp. Christa was the smiley secretary at Sharples High School for several years before choosing to make motherhood her priority. She gladly gave of her time and talents to Spruce and Sharples schools for many years, serving the community as a Homeroom Mother. She also worked as a medical assistant in the office of Dr Rojas in Jeffrey and Logan.

She was a lifelong member of the Monclo-Sharples Church of God where she enjoyed fellowshipping with her special “sisters” and family members.

Christa’s generous and caring nature, live on as we fulfill her wish to remain with the medical school after passing. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 pm Sunday, March 11, at Handley’s Funeral Home, 439 Phipps Ave, Danville.
