Clarence Holly “Buster” Halstead, 87, of Foster, WV passed away on August 23, 2013 at home.
He was a member of Rock Creek Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired after 34 years from Libby Owen Ford, worked eight years at the Bank of Danville and was the camp host for the U.S. National Park Service for 17 years. He was a member of the Charleston American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Delphia Opal Halstead; his children, Vivian Lea Parker and husband, Bennie of Allison Park, PA, Jesse C. Halstead of Foster, and Rita Ann Bryant and husband, Wyatt of Foster. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Kevin Trivett officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
