Claris A. Wrenn, 83, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Emogene Doiln Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV.
She was born October 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Herbert Roy and Vern Dean. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Wrenn in 2015, a daughter, Susan Gail Wrenn Crabtree, and brother, Minnis Delana Roy.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy D. Newton of Lebanon, TN; Amber (Ed) C. Wilson of Chesapeake, Ohio; a son, Donald B. (Carrie) Wrenn of Murfreesboro, TN; stepdaughter, Patricia (Richard) Rutherford of Crystal River, FL; her sister, Bernice Roy of Fort Worth, TX; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a special friend Angela Webb Perkins.
She spent her entire life loving her Lord and Savior and sharing her knowledge of the Bible with children and adults alike in various church classes and Bible studies for over 60 years. She retired from Brighton Area Schools in Brighton, Michigan.
Funeral service will be noon Monday, December 26, 2016 at Huntington’s ReClaim Church (3135 Washington Blvd., formerly First Wesleyan Church) with pastors Corey Adkins and Cliff Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Sanders Cemetery, Branchland, WV.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Monday. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV is in charge of arrangements.
