Clifford E. Hager, 89, of Danville passed peacefully at home on March 28, 2013 after a short illness.
Clifford was a retiree from the C&O (CSX) Railroad and had proudly served his country during WWII in the 8th Air Force, stationed in India within the CBI (China, Burma, India) Theatre.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Fannie V. Hager; sons, Tim C. Hager and Steve M. Hager; grandson, Timothy Noah Hager; granddaughters, Melanie Martin, Christina Coffelt and Jennifer Bagley; great-grandsons, Daniel Bagley and Mikel Hager; brothers, Anton Hager and Victor Hager; and sister, Ella Mae Skeens.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 1st at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Harley Egnor Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Low Gap Road, Madison.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 31st at the funeral home.
Clifford’s gentle demeanor, wisdom, and guidance will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
