Clyde J. Lee

September 7, 1926 — March 25, 2019

Rev. Clyde J. Lee, 92, of Cazy. WV departed this life on Monday, March 25, 2019 after a short illness.

He was a veteran of WWII, a member of the UMWA and a member of the Freedie F.W.B. Church at Van. He was an ordained minister with the Boone County Conference. The last church he pastored was the Gordon Union Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Alma Lee; his great-grandson, Leland Brown II; his parents, Leslie and Nona Lee; three brothers, Eugene, Ray, and Jimmy; and his two sisters, Madge and Bernice.

He is survived by his daughters, Lois (Danny) Massey of St. Albans and Linda (Steve) Burns of Cazy; his five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy of Ohio and Bob of South Carolina; sisters, Helen Miller of Twilight, Ernestine Epling of Spring, Texas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a number of church family and friends.

Service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Steve Burns and Henry Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison with military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, West Virginia.
