Cody James Ross

Cody James Ross, 25, of Griffithsville, WV went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 27, 2023 due to and automobile accident. 

Cody was born August 8, 1997.  He was baptized on July 25, 2021.  Cody enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, swimming and Apex Gaming.  He was known for his enormous heart, a listening ear, and a beautiful smile.  Though he left this world far too soon, he touched the heart of everyone he came across. 

Cody leaves behind his mother, Bridgette (Robby) Stump; father Dannie Ross II; his three sisters, Shayla, Cynthia and Sabrina Ross; one daughter and her mother, Journee Hosanna Ross and Meghan Loftus.  Cody also leaves behind his girlfriend, Candy Browning; three nieces, Kentlee Adkins, Gracie Walker and Emilia Spradlin; also his grandparents, Bruce and Margaret Plumley, Dannie Ross Sr. and Brenda (Paul) Ross, and Bobby and Liz Stump; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and so many more.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home in Hamlin, WV with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Stower Cemetery on Scary Creek, Sweetland, WV.
