Courtney Lynn Huffman Criss, 29 years old, of Van, WV passed away unexpectedly at her home in Hilltop, WV on June 9, 2022. Very sadly, it was only about a week before her 30th birthday. She was born on June 17, 1992 in Hickory, NC to Cynthia Jane McCarty and Rick Huffman of Hickory, NC.
She was preceded in death by her great grandparents Boyce M. Bradley, Sr. and Evelyn C. Jones Bradley of Clothier, WV.
She is survived by husband Joshua Criss, the love of her life; her loving mother Cynthia Jane McCarty; mother in law Angela Criss; grandparents, M.L. “Luke” McCarty and wife Dara Bradley McCarty of Cazy, WV; sisters Chloe McCarty and Abigail Glenn; aunts, Lora McCarty and Erika McCarty Elswick; also stepsisters, aunts, uncles, and nephews that she loved very much.
Courtney will be cremated as she requested. A private graveside service will be at a later date and will be notified by invitation.
