Curtis R. Workman, 91, of Madison, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 1, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Clarksburg, WV.
He was preceded in death by his son, Carvis R. Workman; his parents, Sam and Laura Workman; three brothers, Gene, Edward and Medsil (PeeDee) Workman; and one sister, Mildred Harper, all of Bandytown, WV.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Colleen Garretson Workman and Vickie Gray whom was a special daughter to him; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
He was a member of Gospel Center Tabernacle in West Madison; a WWII Army Veteran and a member of Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, WV. He was a retired coal miner for Westmoreland Coal Company with 43 years of mining. He loved fishing, boating and hunting.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 6 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Pastor Walter Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown with military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, WV.
