Dale Ray Pollard

Dale Ray Pollard, 54, of Danville passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Rethal Virginia and Edward Parton and Gene and Kathleen Pollard; sister, Debbie Pollard; and grandparents, Charles and Sally Hodge.

Dale was born July 20, 1958 in Muncie, Indiana. He graduated from Muncie Central High School. He enjoyed Boy Scouts, fishing and hunting with his Uncle Charlie.

Survivors include his common law wife of 25 years, Sue Oliver; children, Cynthia Atkins, Heidi Holt and Ashley Pollard; step-children, Kevin (Kim) Burgess, Danny Burgess, Jeremy Burgess and Buddy (Tomasa) Burgess; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; brother, Harvie (Mary-Jo) Pollard; sister, Beverly Hess from Muncie, Indiana; aunt and uncle, Charles and Helen Hodge; niece, Marlee Delk; and nephews, Jason Pollard, Brandon Johnson and Kasey Hess.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with John Harden officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
