Dan Edwin Walden, 73, of Barboursville, went home to be with his Savior on June 2, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington.
He was born August 1, 1940 and was a son of the late Veroy Clayton and Opal Clay Walden. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Walden; and son, John Wesley Walden. He worked for the railroad and the mines.
He is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Wiley; step-children, Olita Scites, Harold Daniels and Donna Potts; grandchildren, John Walden II, Daniel Walden and Shay Harper; six great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty and Charles Watson and Judy and Robert Thompson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at McGhee Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin with Eddie Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Dial Cemetery, Branchland, WV.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
