Daniel Green, 83, of Barrett, WV and longtime resident of Lindytown (Twilight) went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2016. He was born on January 22, 1933 to Tolbert and Paulina Green of Lindytown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marilyn Elaine (Doss) Green; stepson, Mark Doss; daughter, Kimberly Danielle (Alan) Wilson of Barrett; son, Daniel Jason (DJ) and (Judith) Green of Comfort; grandchildren Cody, Brandon, Cameron and Allie Jo Wilson, Alexis, Daniel (Bubba), Dawson and Easton Green;
Brothers, David Green of Danville and Charles (Benny) Green; and sisters, Irene Mann of Ronceverte and Dolly Cantrell of Danville.
Preceded in death by his grandson Connor Jacob Green of Comfort; parents Tolbert and Paulina Green of Lindytown; brothers Moses Green and Elijah Green; and sister Lucy Cook of Quinland.
Daniel was a member of UMWA and retired from Island Creek Coal Company.
Special thanks to his Home Health nurse Amanda Messer, Dr. Ira Morris and Hospice House in South Charleston.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
