Daniel Nelson, 39, of Wharton West Virginia was born January 15, 1982 and left this earth suddenly in his home on June 29, 2021.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Ginger Jarrell, the man he loved as his father Charles “Magoo” Burns; grandmother Delcie Jarrell, grandfather Paul Jarrell; uncles Dale Jarrell, William Jarrell; aunt Diane Jarrell.
Daniel is survived by his sisters Tabetha Nelson of Bandytown, Christie (Patrick) Weaver of Dunbar; brothers Joshua Nelson of Charleston, Christopher Nelson of Charleston; nieces Kinsley (Roger) Allen of Wharton, Nevaeha Nelson of Bandytown; nephew Brian Mills of Dunbar; and uncle Roger “Hoss” Jarrell of Bandytown.
Daniel had a kind heart and a gentle spirit. He was a loving brother, uncle, and a friend to many. He will be missed beyond words.
Daniel’s wishes was to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on August 28 at Martha Freewill Baptist Church in Bandytown. Daniels ashes will be laid to rest with his mother at Green Cemetery in Bandytown.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in his honor to an addiction recovery organization.
