Danny Joe Stevens

Danny Joe “Dan-no” Stevens, 63, of Midkiff, WV died Saturday, July 1, 2023.  

He was born June 14,1960 in West Hamlin, WV, a son of the late Eugene “Cub” and Hazel Vick Stevens. He was also preceded in death by in laws, Thelma and Leo McDilda; a very special great grand daughter McKenna Dawn (Pappy Little Angel Kenna); one brother Michael “Mike” Stevens.

Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife Debbie Stevens; children, Jessica “Poo” Stevens and Ron, Marchella “Sissy” Stevens, Danny “Bubby” Stevens and Savannah; grandchildren, Tosha Sergent and Sarah, Verlin “Peewee” Sergent and Casey, Chasity “Punky” Stevens and Sheldon,  Ron “Chumpy” Hammond and Deisia, Caleb Napier and Monica, Santana Parker Preston Farmer, Cameron “Shorty” Farmer, Hazelynn “Little Girl” Farmer, Carmen Boone, Aubrey Elliott, Braiden Stevens; great grandchildren, Anastacia “Bear Bear” Stevens, Ryleighn, Kadence and Maverick; unborn-soon to be pappy to 3 more babies- Sergent twins A & B coming Jan. 19, 2024 and Baby Sergent coming Jan. 30 2024; one brother David Stevens and Glenna; one special sister-in-law Kay Stevens; in addition to the immediate family a special neice and nephew Novella “Skeeter” Stevens and David “Porky” Stevens; three very special friends, Ronald Adkins, James “Al” Lewis and Lisa Colgrove as well as a host of other sister/brothers in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

A very special thank you to Hospice of Huntington, Lincoln County EMS services, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Dr. Laura Givens and Nurse Nikki at Wildcat Center for their care and services over the last 18 months.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV.  The burial will follow in the Stevens Hager Cemetery, Midkiff, WV. A visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
