Daris Winiston “Babe” Webb, 82, of Ranger, WV died Thursday February 15, 2018.

He was born December 26, 1935 in Ranger, WV, a son of the late Clarence “Dick” Webb and Florence Smith Webb. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, Wendell “Dickie” Webb, Doyle Lee “Prout” Webb and James “Pete” Webb; one sister, Janice Webb; and his first wife, Carol Ann Smith Webb.

He was a bull dozer/ heavy equipment operator. He was a self-employed entrepreneur, ran the family saw mill and a truck driver. He was a veteran of the US Army. Babe loved doing anything outside, loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed bluegrass music and camping. He had a million dollar smile.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda K. Webb; children, Gregory Scott Webb of Ranger, WV, Steven Brian (Connie) Webb of Ranger, WV, Melanie Diane (Steven) Buyers of Huntington, WV Stephanie G. Enochs of Huntington, WV and Misty Byrd (Brandon) Killen of Ranger, WV; grandchildren, Carrie Ann Watts of Huntington, WV, Christopher Tyler Spurrier of Ranger, WV, Kayla Nicole Watts of Huntington, WV, Brittney Mechelle Webb of Ranger, WV, Jerrica Breann Byrd of Ranger, Diana Carol Webb of Ranger, Braidence Clay Killen of Ranger; one great grandchild. Dakota Skye Spurrier of Huntington; one brother, Gary “Wid” (Anita Sue) Webb of Ranger; a host of nieces, nephews, family and life long friends who loved him dearly.

We’ll miss him beyond measure. To know him is to love him. The pallbearers will be Christopher Tyler Spurrier, Brandon Lee Killen, Cameron Michael Sandoval, Gregory Scott Webb, Steven Brian Webb, Jamie Lynn Webb and friends and family.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday February 18, 2018 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will follow in the Webb Family Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
