David Michael Adkins, 49, of Jeffrey, WV went to be with the Lord October 6, 2014. He passed away at home with family after a short illness.
Born November 14, 1964 he was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Lehman Adkins. He attended Ball Chapel Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shena L. Adkins; father; Casey Adkins, Jr. of Danville; sister, Debra(Clifford) Clark of Danville; daughters, Holly (Andy) Puckett of Milan, GA, Brittany (Jenny) Adkins of Beckley and Tabatha (Pug) Adkins of Jeffrey; son, Jonathan Holley of Jeffrey; granddaughter, Shyan Marie Felton of Jeffrey; aunt, Lorine McNeely of Sharples; niece; Jennifer Clark (Joe Toler) of Coal Valley; nephews; James Clark of Danville and Cameron Sharp and Jordon Jacobs both of Kistler; and sister-in-law, Angel Caldwell of Kistler.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV with the Rev. Bobby Adkins and the Rev. Edsel Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Logan, WV.
Pallbearers will be Joey Cook, James Clark, Leon Marcum, James Cantrell, Joe Toler and Randy Adkins.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home
